“Art heals us more than we know. When we are at our lowest, when we experience a great loss and have nowhere else to turn, we listen to a song, we stare into a painting, we read a poem, and something divine takes over. The relief that we were so desperate to find, somehow finds us.”

About the artist...

I create art because I believe it has the power to heal. Through seasons of profound loss, change, solitude, and personal growth, I discovered that peaceful places — both real and imagined — can offer comfort when words cannot. My seascapes and landscapes are inspired by that belief, inviting you to pause, breathe deeply, and reconnect with a sense of calm.

Using soft colors, tranquil horizons, and the quiet presence of the human figure, I hope to create moments where people can escape the noise of everyday life and find peace within themselves. More than decorating a wall, I want my art to become a refuge—a gentle reminder that beauty, hope, and healing can still be found, even after life's hardest chapters.

Based in the Chicagoland area, I paint for those who are drawn to peaceful, nature-inspired art that brings warmth, serenity, and meaning into their homes. Whether a landscape is inspired by a place I've visited, one imagined from the heart, or a combination, my greatest hope is that each painting becomes a lasting source of peace—one you return to whenever you need a moment of stillness.

My core values...

Connection, healing, stillness, and hope are at the heart of everything I create. I believe in the restorative power of nature, the importance of making space for reflection, and the beauty found in quiet moments. I value authenticity and emotional connection, creating art with intention and heart. Above all, I believe that beauty can be a source of comfort—and that even through life’s hardest moments, there is always a place to find peace, hope, and light.

My process...

My process often begins with a moment of noticing. On nature walks, I photograph beautiful skies, landscapes, and quiet places that catch my eye. Those photographs become a starting point, but from there, I let my imagination and intuition take over. I change the colors, light, atmosphere, and details, allowing the painting to unfold from the heart rather than simply recreating what I saw. Sometimes there is no photograph at all—only a place I imagine, remember, or feel.

After recently experiencing a profound loss, I haven't traveled as much as I typically do, and this has led me to explore more deeply the landscapes that live within my imagination. As I slowly find my way back into the world, I'm discovering that there are still beautiful places to go—some of them are simply found within.
